Graduation Trip

We really love these girls. These are girls that have become dear friends to Meagan. She has really worked at fitting in with her classmates and has made some great friends in the process. Traditionally after 9th grade graduation the students are bused to a local disco, and their years of partying begin. We wanted to offer them another choice. So we took these girls home after graduation (which ended at midnight) and they slepted 4 hours at our house. We woke them up at 5 am and drove 4 hours to the nearest adventure park. We had a blast together with these girls.

A Day Off - at the Zoo

One of Meagan's classmate's mom is the director at the Zoo. They invited us for a special "behind the scenes view" right in the middle of camps. It was hard to take the time but in the end we had such a great time with them and it was a great way to get our minds off of all we are doing. Thanks Furlans we really like you!

A Family Favorite

One of our favorite treats are cinnamon rolls. Now mom is not the only one who know how to make them!

5th in the Nation

The National Lace making competion is held each year in Idrija Slovenia. It is a beautiful little village in the Alps. Meagan recieved first place in her school competition which allowed her to compete nationally. As they announced that there were competetors from all over the country, I wanted to shout out, "And America". I doubt there have been very many American's in this competition. This year she placed 5th in her category, and recieved a silver metal for the number of points that she received. Good Job Meagan! My little Slovene girl.

JV Intern Training 2008

65 interns were launched into Eastern Europe to support missionaries and churches as they reached out to students doing English Camps. They all converged in Prague and made their way to the Eastern side of the country through a team building “Amazing Race”. They then spent 7 days learning about culture, team relations, teaching English, Bible teaching, and getting to know the JV missionaries. They were commissioned to 9 different Eastern European countries. Summer interns provide key energy and love to students in 80 English Camps. This time is also strategic in their lives as they spend a summer doing cross-cultural ministry and building relationships.
