Summer Visit

Summer visit….

What a great summer we had visiting with many of you in the States. We are blessed with many rich relationships. The hardest thing about coming home for 3 months is that it is still not enough time to see everyone. We would love to hear from all of you and hear how you are doing.

This summer we were blessed in many ways. We started in Spokane where we shared with Valley Fourth Memorial Church, the girls had a great time with their cousins and we all had a great time at the Doughty family reunion. We spent a week vacation in a family cabin close to Jackson, Wyoming. We then headed to South Dakota, saw Mt Rushmore and went to the doctor. In North Dakota, we had a wonderful 40th birthday celebration for Lori at a pitchfork steak fondue and an outdoor play about Theodore Roosevelt. In Montana, Terry was able to help with harvest and we shared at several churches. The girls learned to quilt, saw friends and went horseback riding. It was refreshing for all of us.

In Portland we enjoyed reconnecting with everyone from Good Shepherd and Cornerstone. We took a short trip to Klamath Falls to see some friends and share in a church. We are so grateful to all of you who hosted us, and made time for us. We feel very blessed to get to have the job we have and be involved in so many of your lives. Thank you for your partnership.

Prayer Requests….

We would love to have you pray for these things as we head into the fall and winter:

Our JH kickoff is this Saturday. We are really excited about this. Not only does it provide a place for young teens to hang out and be touched by the Lord, but it is also one of the very first events that will be run mostly by Slovenes. Our Slovene Christians are being mentored by Terry and Christina and they are learning how to reach out. The best thing about it is their excitement.

Our family has been sick for some time now. We saw a doctor in the States and hoped that the natural supplements we are all taking would help. We have seen some improvement, but Meagan and Laurel in particular are being hit hard by illness. This has been a problem for several years now, and we are asking the Lord to direct us as to find the causes.

Terry has begun planning for next years camps. He is responsible for the camps for all of Eastern Europe (about 55 camps). Pray for creativity and for energy to accomplish this mission.

Thank you so much for partnering with us. We love you, and would enjoy hearing from you.

Hello

Glad you made it to our blog. We finally did! We want to keep the information flowing - not for information sake but in order to further our relationship. That's a two-way street so let us in on your world too. Have a great day.
